By using Rent & Barter you agree to these terms. The platform connects people who want to trade goods, services, skills, and temporary rentals. We are not a party to trades between users.

Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Listings & bids

You must only post offers you can fulfill. Public bids are visible to other users. Private bids are paid, non-refundable fees for poster-only visibility of your offer text. Accepting a bid creates a trade you are expected to complete in good faith.

Payments

Private bid fees are processed by Stripe. Fees are non-refundable once payment succeeds, including if you later withdraw or dislike a counter offer.

Prohibited use

No illegal goods/services, fraud, harassment, spam, or attempts to circumvent fees or safety features. We may suspend accounts and remove content that violates these terms or our community guidelines.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee trade outcomes, user identity beyond stated verification steps, or uninterrupted availability. Limit of liability is the greater of fees you paid us in the prior 12 months or CAD $100, to the extent permitted by law.
